Does anybody feel the same way I do?
The proposal

Maybe I'm the only one.

Sure, but nothing will be done and you're wasting your time.

Yeah, I've been screwed over by some of these kind of statements.
One time I said "these orcs need to fucking die", then some prick reports me and I get a 7 day vacation.

However, I took it to the email and contacted CipSoft and explained the rule I violated.
Nowhere in the rule said swearing was illegal and I also pointed out that I was targeting no other player.
I won the dispute and was rewarded the premium days I lost during the weekend.

I'd be a madman to think it would accomplish anything. I was just wondering if I was the only one thinking it.

And I was also hoping someone would post in disagreement to the clown that posted after me.

I agree, just yesterday I wanted to test Cipsofts report system, So I reported a friend of mine got banned for thirty days for saying "Yu can sek ma dik" I'm not sure here but when you report a statement does it report only this one message or the whole chat log to Cipsoft?

But yeah, in the end my friend ended up getting banned within 24 hours and next time he violates a rule it's account deletion.
Luckily he's only a low level xD

So yeah Red, I agree with you that Cipsoft should review their definition of 'offensive'.
I'll post later on the Tibia forums to that clown :)

Awesome, and thanks Peroxide. I would respond to him myself but I'm trying to keep my thread serious I don't feel like rolling him really hard since it's blatantly obvious how stupid he is.

Best thing you could probably do if you even want Cipsoft to possibly even give the proposal mature consideration would be to leave the guy alone, once someone replies it's gonna be an instant flamewar. You know it xD

its probably just that one message that you reported that is taken care of
one thing that surprised me was how fast they acted, at least that's a thumbs up

Least I know shit happens, it shouldn't say processed on the account page it should say something like "Player has been warned/banned/deleted"

I wonder if Cipsoft has ever heard of a thing called a Filter, they could possibly implement one into both clients and this way it gives the player the option whether or not to see curse language and so forth. Also when a player reports something it could possibly also send Cipsoft the players option for the setting that allows you to see the language

e.g
Player reported statement: fuck you
This player has Curse filter: off

they can act solely on this since it's the players responsibility to see the curse and not theirs.

This is a great idea.

@Red; I highly recommend you to propose a language filter to Cipsoft. I think they've probably had it before but they're a pretty fucking ignorant company if you ask me

If this thread gets shut down it'll be my next one. I think they would be a lot less hesitant to try something that required .. not so much work on their end .. if you know what I mean :p

I completely agree with your proposal, I quit a while ago but I'll reply to your thread. Something I've learnt over time playing Tibia is that Cip won't admit that they're in the wrong and therefore most likely will not do anything about it.

Mind you, Cipsoft only checks billing support so they could help people to give them $$

They barely check the community's proposals.

From what i posted on the thread:- (wrote it off the top of my head without much throught - for the haters)

Games are for kids? or mind of 8year olds? what are you chatting?

Most people who still play this game are like 14-40, most of Tibia current player population is that of people who have played for a very long time, as we know tibia isnt growing much at all unless old school players manage to get some friends to join but trust me its hard.

We should be able to say what we like and joke about? after all thats what games are for? to have fun?

Atleast enable an option so that you and a friend or a group chat can disable reporting statements in that convo.
