I'm woundering what the best os is for running an ot server?^^

im not sure but i think Windows xp is best to host on coz many that got vista

Linux, Distribution: Any of them are ok, but if it's your first time with linux use Ubuntu...

You should use a "Server" version like:
Windows server 2003
Windows server 2008
FreeBSD
Linux (server version)

You should use a "Server" version like:
Windows server 2003
Windows server 2008
FreeBSD
Linux (server version)

win2008 is just vista bullshit
tfs doesn't compile on freebsd without some hacks
and there is no "server edition" for linux, just remove crappy gui and you have a "server edition"
