Uhm, about the code tags, I'd say no.
Why? because it's a chat room, not a support room.

If we extend the IRC application to support these tags most users on IRC won't see them anyway because they use their own client which follows the standards set in the RFC for the IRC protocol and not some suggestion on OtLand. IRC is also not designed for multiline messages, and either way we won't be extending it, because it's more of a chat room than a place to share your code snippets, and if you really need to do so the best way is to upload your code to pastebin and then share the URL.
