Windows Changing character encoding in the client?

Anybody knows if you could modify a client to enable Chinese?

This is where I am at right now when I write in-game, or when I have an NPC speak Chinese:

你说什么 = Äã˵ʲô if I write it at the keyboard.
你说什么 = ???? if I copy paste it.

I'm guessing it's really tricky to fix, but might as well ask

You will need to edit the sources and possibly use a custom client.
