So i have tried out this IDE for quite some time and i have to say i love it.
http://c9.io
Its an IDE on your webbrowser, You can collaborate with others, aka write with multiple people simultaniously.
The website i linked was the cloud-based ide, There is a chrome and firefox plugin if anyone wants it offline.
Though i really have to say the cloud one is very very useful.
It gives you a free ubuntu VM for your projects. Even managed to compile TFS and run it on it.
However you cant acutally use it as a server.. well because port policy..
But for those who want to share code, test code, whereever you want can use it.
It does require making an account, but still totally worth it. You could login with a github or bitbucket account as well if you want to directly fork a repo.
