Computer is very wierd...

hi, my computer is very wierd,

when i start it up it shuts down after 1 sec agian and then it turns on agian and shuts down, and it does that like 5-10x and then when it have started to the desktop it restarts agian and gets to the desktop agian like 3x and then i can use the computer,

my computer:

Fujistu Siemens Scaleo X
RAM: 1GB
Processor: 3,2
Graphic card: 256mb

anybody hvae anyidea?

Try starting the computer in safe mode, if it works then you should see what programs etc start with windows. You might have virus or somekind of crap in your computer. If you get the computer started in safemood make a scan. Also go to Run write msconfig, choose the tab autoboot search there and see if you see anything suspiciously.

If there is any hope in rescuing your computer then this seems to be your best chance:

1. Blow air into your fans to remove dust from your processor.
2. Enter BIOS (F12?) and try to downclock your processor a little to reduce heat. When processor heats to high it goes down automatically in an attempt to dont burn up.
3. Uninstall windows and install some kind of Linux with graphical user interface.

Results should be:
1. Much more stable computer.
2. OS without virus.
3. ???
4. Profit.
