Linux Confused about compile if correct

Hello
my cpu is:

CPU: e3-1240V2 3,4GHz
RAM memory: 16 GB
Processor timing: 3,4 GHz
Turbo Boost : 3,8 GHz
The number of cores in CPU : 4

and i compile in ubuntu 13.04 with:
./autogen.sh
./configure --enable-mysql --enable-root-permission
./build.sh

is it correct? or should be like make -j 4 or something?
