Hey corvo, try to add more facial details in your sprites they look too much square and dead face, here I made a little edit in the face,

Try to avoid this kind of lined eyes specially on the left side of the sprite, remind that the head is a circular thing, so the line won't be the same in the both sides of the face, nice improve on the nose, look, i made some edit in the eye and did a little highlight to the nose detail
