Within the last two days, my server started acting funny. After about 4-5 hours of uptime, the CPU usage goes to 100%. What do you think could be causing this and where do you think I should look for a solution?

(I'm using the latest revision of TFS)

Thanks

then a system menu will pop up, take and look what use lots of RAM, and what uses alot of CPU.. you might got a cirus(virus) that thiefs your CPU after a while, etc you see 6 "swhost", where only 1 is needed. A virus might take and call itself something familar with other programs, so its hard to find out about it. I recomand scanning your computer for virus, also remove cookies of your internett browsers

Nope, It is my OT server that is running at 100% CPU Usage. And the ram usage is the normal amount...

I don't understand why it just randomly happened within the past 2 days... Is there anything that could possible be directly connected to this issue that I can look into?

-- I have read about the problem that many people are having with 100% CPU usage. This problem however started randomly 2 days ago. Before that, there were no signs and no problems at all (over a month).

How lastest is your TFS do you have version 11 or 10, i think they fixed it in 11. Also do you leave your computer on all the time or do you reset it everyday. Because i had that problem that mine just needed a restart.

The "bug" ceased happening after i re-enabled Hyperthreading, netBIOS over TCP/IP, and set my maxConnections Limit to 100 (LvlLord.de).

Also, This bug didn't happen only when the server was full, one time it happened at 6 AM when there were only about 40~ players online tops.

And yes my problem is now solved.

Not trying to act smartass but i believe 4 are needed for proper functioning, depending on which windows you are using. Windows has a mass of useless processes anyway, but you can't run winblows without them using your CPU. And they are svchost.exe
