Suggestion Credit System!

Similar to TibiaML's credit system on their forum, on their forum they use the credits which you get for

*Posting
*Some other stuff i dunno bout xD


It would be cool to see something like this on otland especially if we could buy Skins with the points we earn by posting

I'll say no, the rep system is more then enough. If you need more skins just make them avaible for everyone.

They would be used as a currency.
You should be able to buy some kind of futures, like color under name.
Or you could sell your maps & distros for em

i spose they'd be kind of like Microsoft points on xbox 360, only you earn them buy posting.

Its kind of like donations to RL OTs i think how you can donate for items, this way you could get new themes?? for the background of otland i think thats what he means.

If you should sell distroes and maps then otland must have a way to pay them out as money. I dobt that'll happend anytime soon.

I meant like you earn points by posting and you can buy themes with it (change the look of how otland displays on your web browser)

It's what I have on my forum. I wouldn't suggest it for this forum, unless you would like to have a more advanced way of calculating activity, and posting, tags, and stuff like that..etc.

Not signed, people abuse the rep system enough, don't wanna see random spam threads and spam posts just to get their points up. And definitely don't wanna see "I sell script for x points..."

there's a lot of scripts for vbulletin for this
and i like the idea of selling and buying stuff with the credits

If you post.. you get x credits..
you make a thread = x credits.. etc etc

its a cool idea.. and it'll keep the forum active..
i mean c'mon 50% of otland users just login to look for scripts.. maps.. etc
they dont even post.. or care about the forum at all

And you will all see even more of these:

rep and leave ur name i rep back

for instance. It will only count for more spam. And people want money or something like that for their scripts. Not some virtual credit that you can buy OTland forum themes with. So unless OTland scripter/owner/whatever make the service with a payout feature, then I'll say no (witch will be the same as saying no to spam).

vBulletin Experience is the same thing as you are all saying.

You get X points for posting, tags, stickies and all kinds of that kinda things. Really easy to setup, comes with a highscores table, points for reputation, and another thing.

Thank you:

A button that can give X amount of points, or X number of Reputation added to your total.
