Hello everyone nice to meet you all!

My nickname is Crumpy and I'm 18 years old. This is my first visit to the forum.

The reason why I got here is: My friend told me about Tibia and, I thought.. What in gods name is a Tibia. My friend said: It's a 2d game with oldskool graphics and a nice gameplay. So.. I promised my friend that I would play "Tibia" for 2 days. And in these 2 days I didn't really like it.. Since it's so easy. Ofcourse the game gets intresting after a certain level but.. I didn't feel like to gain 100 levels. So I told my friend that I quited Tibia.

But on the last day I heard someone talking about OTS. And I thought like what are OTS? Is it some kind of food? So i asked them.. Open tibia servers. And ofcourse.. I didn't want to spent money on this game so "OTS" should fix that issue. Now this is were i got exited. I was playing OTS for 1 day and i really enjoyed it. I didn't had to play hours to get a high level. I could have fun within 2 hours already. Although I still didn't like the game..

Then! I saw someone asking for mappers. So I asked what are mappers? I already had the feeling that a mapper would be someone creating a map. So.. I've been looking around on the WWW to gain some knowledge about this new thing called " mapping ". And I already tried mapping in other games but it was so damn boring..

Then I downloaded this program called Remere's Map Editor. I opened it and just tried to make something.. Haha! I am really bad in mapping.. Though I didn't want to give up. So i tried to find a forum were I could gain experience, read tutorials and see mappings of other people. And this is what I found. www.otland.net. I've readed a lot. And now I'll try to improve myself every day since I really like this.. and I also like a community that could help me out!

So just tell me if something looks boring or bad.. I rather hear the truth than "trolling around me" saying it's great ( which is not ).

So here's my first shot.. I don't really like it but.. since it's my first shape I guess it's ok.. I've readed a tutorial about how to create this.

It looks really small, I'd suggest mapping Pharuma first and then take a look at how big the shape should be since then you got an example.

@Prest: Yes mate, since I can't make two at once! Ok bad argument. No I make one city because i've never mapped before. I'd like to practice on this map first before I make a "big advanced map". I'm not good enough to make a big map yet..

@Macedoon I know it's small, but i'll finish this map first before recreating another. I think I need to earn some practice before going pro!

Though.. I think my rivers look kind off bad.. I don't know I just don't like them..

Could you send me ur 2nd shape (the one with flooring already), I also would like to practice =D
 
First of all thanks for the comments!

Well i've decided to recreate a shape. I also tried to rebuild my rivers in a more "natural way". I didn't start mapping yet since I want my shape to be nice.

Do you guys think the third shape is a good shape for my server?

@Prest: I don't think you want that haha! It was my first creation so it's very small, and buggy!

idc, I just want to map random stuff in it for showoff, it wont be released or used in any server =)
