Hello!

I need some help, I want to build my own computer.
But I want to see what you guys recommended.

Going to buy from OriginPC.

Price range: 3000-3500$ not including shipping.

Example computer: OriginGenesis Custom Built

It's in your hands :-)

I like laptops more then desktop.
I currently use Dell XPS and I freaking love it.

I haven't reformatted it in 3-4 years (which is not recommended, should reformat often)
and it still runs fast, even plays a lot of big games too

Well, I already got a strong laptop.

So that's why I want a awesome desktop :-)

You are going to build one, and let me see it, and I might buy that one.

That's the meaning of this whole thread.

Ahh ok I thought u were just announcing that u were gonna buy a new desktop, and saying you will build one, you should put build a computer and let me see it and I may buy it from you :p

Well, I'd like to see what people recommend me buying before I build my own. I can take something from each computer and build a superb one.

Please, give it a shot :-)

No problem at all.

Currently going to post an example to my OP.

I honestly don't know why people buy such computers to play League of Legends.
Seriously, is a 3960X and several GTX 680's really necessary for gaming?

Why don't you save yourself a couple thousand dollars, and build a gaymen computer that suits your needs.

  1. Are you telling me that an i5 (ivy or sandy; doesn't matter) with a 670 isn't enough to satisfy your gaming needs?
  2. Do you really need 4 power sucking GF104s starting a house fire?
  3. Will you even use more than 5% of a 3960X?
  4. Do you know how to maintain a water loop, and would you be capable of taking the necessarily actions to maintain such a loop when the time comes?

forgot to mention the fact that your aren't building the computer if it comes pre-assembled.

Okay, and I appreciate that you're trying to :-)

Would you help me decide a right computer?

Suggestions for a decent gaymen hardware:

CPU >> i5 3550 / 3570K or i5 2500K / 2500
GPU >> GTX 670 / 660Ti or GTX 570 / 560Ti or Radeon HD 6950 or Radeon HD 7970
RAM >> G.SKILL or Corsair Vengence; Recommend 8GB 1600MHz <CL9
PSU >> Corsair (TX 650 V2) or Antec or Seasonic

The rest you choose, recommend a single SSD and a HDD for storage (preferably 7200RPM; size up to you - and SATA III you putts)
If you choose a sandy bridge motherboard, get a Z68 and not a poorfag H-Series;

Post back once you've done something productive.

-- UPDATE --
Some of you have asked me if the i5-2550K / i7-2700K are worth buying. No they are not, just buy a 2500K / 2600K

Slurp is right don't go wasting money on computers you don't need unless you are going to be heavily gaming and when you game I mean consume your entire computer memory output. There is no reason to own such expensive things unless you're one of those kind just wanting to say "Hey look at me! I got this computer with X, X and X." Make sure the computer you DO get is something you can cheaply afford but will run everything you need fine, nothing more, nothing less than what you intend it for.

@Topic:
Origin and the Genisis would fit my needs.
