Dedicated Server Questions ..

Ok so ..
I was thinking of getting a dedicated server ..
But the problem is .. My computer is better then a dedi .
But I dont know if the internet is =\ ..
I mean, a dedicated server, the computer is dedicated to that server, but like.
I run other things on my server computer ..
Like.. I dont know ..
My server computers, got Quadcore, with 4gb of RAM.
But is the dedicated server worth getting better internet?
I mean look.

2x(Dual) AMD Opteron 246 (2.0 GHZ / 1 MB CACHE) / 4 GB DDR 400 ECC / 120 GB SATA HD / 1000 GB Bandwidth

My computer means everything there, except, I dont know about the internet!!
Like, my internet is 7869 KB/s on the speed test, for download and 652 KB/s on the upload.
From what I see, that's not really good .. so is it worth getting a dedi?
Or just maybe getting better internet.
