I think this idea should be accepted, because there are a lot of people like me that don't have a credit card and want to donate. I think the number of donations would increase by a big margin if the staff of OTLand would introduce this method.

The best service would be Fortumo. I payed a lot of things that way and it always worked perfectly.

This suggestion would probably get shoot down, but it is just my opinion.

paypal is used because it is really secure compared to most options. I personally don't know much about fortumo but afaik talaturen wants clean money on a secure handler.. Which i don't think this can fully provide (BUT I COULD BE WRONG)

Fortumo supports a lot of countries and also it is the safest mobile phone method I know.
 
I'm guessing the reason other payment methods haven't been implemented is because methods such as mobile payments generally tend to have a low payout-rate, hence why you get less RP on League of Legends when you pay more money than you would when using PayPal or CC.

But still it could be used for a payment for 3 months membership. I really don't see any flaws to this method of payment.

As I stated, the low payout and instability of when you will get your payment is completely dependant on the amount of people that buy each month.

Phone donators will pay $20 for 3 months
Paypal donators will pay $7 for 3 months

Phone donators will cry because of the price

Talaturen gets the $7 out of $20
$13 will go to the phone company

It's not worth it, for either party.
 
Also since they fucked up mobile payments completely in the EU by implenting WyWallet, there is no longer any point in mobile payments. Many countries wouldn't even be able to support it.

exactly.. most people think a debit card is a credit card.. ITS NOT. A debit card is just the same as a credit card; in use, EXCEPT you spend money you already have in your bank. Whereas credit card you pay back. Hence why credit cards in most countries require 18+. And debit cards are any age afaik.

Banks give debit cards out to anyone tbh.. I don't understand how these kids get any money out the bank if they don't have them.. Since queuing up at the bank to get some cash out is long... and cash machines are much faster.

if tala want be a smart guy, he can make phone donations for 1 month, it will be same as paypal for 3 months.
as we know, the mobile company also will take a small % from the money.

i aslo can recomend PayGol, many otland members use this as donation method in server.
 
People need to realize that some people are not in a situation to have a credit or a debit card. I do not care about the price, I care about the availability of donating via mobile phone.
 
i think paypal is all that the forum need, its trusty and safe. and if you dont have a paypal account, you can buy it to another (thats what i do 4 years ago) there are too much resellers of money on paypal.
