Suggestion Double post

Ok,, I'm one of the stupid people that pretty often with or without mistake make a double post...

what about this?:

When you're making a post, and click "Post"..

if there's a post by you above, the new post will automatically be written in that one, and it will count as a "brand new" post which will bump the thread up.

but if the post above isn't yours it will be as normally..

it should be that you cant post within 1 day if you want to dubble post, or else you maybe have a good post that will be like removed and the new will be added

Well, i like your suggestion.

Just 1 problem.

How should people bump their threads in the a advertisement forum?
 
was a pretty cool idea, but how would you bump threads? maybe every 24 hours it makes a new post and not an edit?

I am against that. Everyone would bump their threads after two minutes and that would cause a chaos in the thread list...unless there's a delay.

Ye exactly, bump button with a limit of one use per 24h would be better.
But then again, you can still bump with normal posts as well, so I will stick to the "merge all double posts within 24h"

Let's fix it a bit.

Make it possible to bump the thread with a button once every 24h but merge double posts every time they are detected so you won't be able to bump a thread twice a day; one time with the button and one time with a post.
 
Maybe even with this, people will still spam and use the bump button incorrectly. Because anyone with intelligence doesn't double post as it is.

Then let's make it so the button is available only on sections where people request help/assistance or a team.
