Hi
guys so when i started to create my server i used downgraded ninja 1.2 tfs version which was really "unstable" because everyone says that. And now i was thinking to use tfs 0.3.6 but i dont really know anything about it, is it stable or not. Because i found out that ninja version was really unstable when i pretty much did 50% of my server so now i'm thinking to use new engine. Should i stay with 1.2 or i should use 0.3.6?

0.3.6 With 8.54 Protocol
1.2 Downgraded 8.60 Protocol

Solution
What I've noticed with downgraded 1.2 for 8.6 is that it doesn't even feel like you're playing 8.54-8.6. Quite a bit of work would have to be done in the sources to make it feel like authentic 8.6
0.x just requires some source edits to be decently stable. What's great about 0.x is that you get that authentic feel when playing and doesn't feel all wonky n shit.
Although there's less support for 0.x most stuff has already been asked & answered.
Also if there's features you feel are missing in 0.x it's rarely difficult to add even if you barely know c++.

If you decide to change to 0.x you'll just have to edit your scripts which can be done in 1-2 efficient days (more if lazy).
1.2 and learn figure out how to fix things that you figure are unstable if you want features & easier to maintain / edible source
0.3.6 if you just want to throw a server together and not care about new features or efficiency

new features? I dont really see anything interesting that could change the game completely. I dont know about others but for me there is nothing new that i could use. I can bet you couldn't tell the difference between 1.x and 0.x in the game. Efficiency? what u mean by that?

code effeciency = faster / more reliable code
obviously nobody will be able to tell which engine you're running things on, why does that matter at all?
my point was to tell you the options based on what each engine provides
basically 0.3.6 not flexible
1.2 flexible

all those little things that made the gamplay like 8.54/8.6 can be added/removed from tfs 1.2 and its a lot better if we talk about editable things (just look at event stuffs)
