Xorin
Xorin, also going by the Name of "Xor" is the last Paladin alive. The Paladins, known as the worlds best elite knights, who are directly choosen by the gods themselves, were always the representatives of the gods, dedicating their whole life to them.
For that reason, they are gifted with special powers and a wider lifespan than anyone else and can't become ill. Paladins don't physicly grow older than they want to be. A paladins life ends when the gods choose to replace him, or his gifted energy drops to zero. The energy varies alot between the choosen Paladins and they can use it to perform all kind of magic.
Every hundred years the gods can select a new Paladin, having a maximum of five at once
at all times. Xorin however was a special Paladin. When he learned, that after a hundred years of serving the gods he could just be replaced and killed he got really angry. At that time being one of the best skilled Paladins he attempted on learning the forbidden "black magic" on himself. He evantually learned how to use it by the age of 80 and mastered the black magic by the age of 90. Now dedicating the last 10 years before his replacement to the black magic, he got stronger and stronger. When the day came, where all the five Paladins went to the temple, to sacriface the oldest of them, Xorin was prepared. While walking up the temples stairs he reached for his sword and lit it up with blue energy immidiatly attacking the weakest of the four other Paladins. Suprised by this ambush they also reached for their swords and lit them up with blue magic aswell and started fighting Xorin. With a grim smile Xorin drew out the book about black magiche had been reading all the time and murmuring something. His sword turned into black energy and from the sky fireballs started to rain on the other paladins. They were striking at them with such enormous power, that they thought, that im some seconds Xorins energy would vanish.
That was the last they could think of. Slowly they recognised that it was their power being used and it was vanishing at a fast rate. Just a few seconds later they all exploded due to their energy being gone. With his last energy Xorin travelled himself back in time, preventing the gods from choosing a new Paladin, as year 100 hadn't begun yet.
Now Xorin is the last paladin alive. And he is called "Xor" because only gods names have three letters. And he considers himself to be one right now.
