Greetings!
As some of you probably know, this isn't our first teaser. Although since the re-building of the project; I've decided that we should start fresh and call it teaser I. The only reason we're still calling it DUP is because we don't have an official name for the server just yet, our staff members will decide once we're closer to completetion.
This teaser is mainly out there to recruit new mappers to join our team, most of them are in Sweden and there's no one mapping at nights other then myself. Also of course to give a little preview of what we're working on to the community!
Well, there's more information about recruitment on the bottom of the page; for now - lets start with the previews!
In the world, you may find yourself stuck in situations, situations that are not safe, not safe at all. Venture into dark areas, deep caves and fight nasty monsters.
Go out on adventures with your friends, or complete strangers. Whatever is fun for you! Join a party with a friend and discover plenty of new places all over the map, although be careful of dangerous creatures!
Venture out into new caves. Perhaps you'll encounter some elves? Of course it's not a bad thing! There's even an elven NPC! I wonder what he sells...
Gather some other players, some friends and explore into new places. Perhaps you'll find a quest with a nice reward?
After a long day of hunting or exploring with your fellow friends, it may be time to take a rest in your backyard or go down to the good ol' tavern for a drink.
And that concludes our little teaser! I sincerly hope you enjoyed this little surprise for the community. Before talking about the hiring aspect, I'd like to give a few credits.
For the teaser making: Quro/Sam, Bayden/Zaraki.
For the pictures used: Xenios, JoccE, Sam, Mackan (old team, not working with us anymore) and Thim (old team as well).
Now I'd like to say that we are hiring more mappers and scripters.
Mappers will need to be able to map at this expertise, as shown in the screenshots. You will be required to be able to get along with others, we have a hosted board over at OtFans.net's Hosted Projects. Inside is a team board with a "map transfer thread" where people will post when they're mapping, when they're done and what they've done. There's also a minimap organized with a general idea of what should go where - just to set an example and to give some ideas. You don't need to follow it completely if you don't want to; of course you can also add new places!
Scripters will mainly be taking care of NPCs (somewhat complex, needs decent knowledge) and LUA (mostly simple, like passing a certain tile at x level, but also a few complicated scripts later on).
If anyone is interested, please PM me with examples! We are always searching for more decent mappers.
