To keep the thread as short as necessary I will write down only the main information.

Test server is online and can be played from now on. (downloading client will be enabled soon)

It is absolutely free to play for everyone, all accounts will be automatically premium.

As already mentioned in the developement thread the server will have every real tibia 7.4 features and of course the real map. While for the test server ankrahmun will stay - it is planed to be unavailable for the first week of the official server.
Keep in mind that this is a test server where the main focus will be server stability, balanced gameplay, game mechanics and performance. The is no capacity and not enough time to deal with cheaters althrough the client could prevent some cheats, this feature will be disabled during the time of the test server.
Side note: the clients sprite and dat file are exactly and 100% same as Tibia's 7.4. Not an edited or customized sprite/dat file - it is exactly the same.

During the developement of over one year a lot of spawns has been compared with real tibia cam files. If you feel like there is any inconsistency, we highly appreciate reports.

Tibiara's game client is based on a customized Tibia 7.72 client which supports DX9 and OpenGL and also CAM recording. But no worries, the client looks exactly same as the official Tibia 7.4 client. You don't believe it? Come and give it a try.

Before you judge this project by reading the thread here only, I would please you to give it at least a try of a few minutes upto a hour. You would be surprised how accurate everything is.

Test server will stay online until the official launch which is estimated within next few month but mostly depends on how the test server performs.

It looked like a nice project, so I wanted to give it a try.

However, the client doesn't start / load upon executing the 'Tibiara.exe' application.

Actually I totally feel you. I was about to open a war server first or at least a high rate but unfortunately it doesn't help much by finding mechanic, game play, quest or npc issues.

I don't see any possibility of this project's success for several reasons:

1. Reason No server in today's times without a well-established brand and huge advertising has no chance of success, you would have to hire some famous strimers.

2.Reason, you will not find too many people to test this because there are already other servers of this type and people will not come to test something new when they can just log into the finished product, especially since it is not a well-known brand on the server market.

3. There are too few rpg players and the market for this kind of servers is overcrowded and pvp players won't play this, i'll explain to you why:

Because I talked to a lot of players on the war server or rpg server who playing for pvp and the vast majority consider the old gameplay mechanics something stupid.

You will understand if you asked many players on the war server if they would like to play on the server where you have to stop moving to shooting runes, they would just laugh at you, and they would consider the free exhaust from those times to be complete nonsense and no sense.

I do not think that the mechanics of those times are something bad, on the contrary, but you have to take into account that today's pvp players do not want something like that, moreover, the long speed of adding shots is too slow, it was good 15 years ago when people used the ball mouse is not good in 2022.

Of course, you may not agree with what I wrote and these reasons, but as you develop this project, you will understand that it is exactly as I present it to you.

I would advise you to create a different type of server first, advertise something that is missing on the market and there first be successful in order to establish a trusted and good brand for yourself, without that I would compare the chances of success of such a project to winning in a jackpot number game, which is very small.

There is no sense in paying ads for a TEST SERVER. And even if it's been a long time ago, I had couple of servers you probably played before such as RealTibia, Demonia, Ampulsia or World War server which was developed by me. For a small timespan I even had a sinteria server (7.6) back then. So yeah, when it comes to such 'brand' I am probably not that popular anymore but still not unknown as I am in the scene for a while already.

I am fine with that. I am not looking into having hundreds of players online to test. It's more about quality than quantity. I rather have 5-10 players coming back everyday which are able to play peacefully and test around than having a chaotic war server where everyone kills each other randomly and complains about every single 'bug' which in fact is a game mechanic of oldschool Tibia. Of course it would be nice to have a popular server but that also means more cheaters, more DDoS attacks and overall more stress. For now I am happy with those few players I can make happy with this server.

It's sad to say but these players are not my target group. I am sure there's a lot of more servers out there that fit their needs. I am focusing in making a Tibia 7.4 to make those happy, that would like to play.

Thank you for your advise. I am not sure what you exactly mean with "a different type of server first" as this is a mid/high rate test server already which is actually good to level fast and also being not worried to lose that much when dying. So in my opinion a pretty good test server. Anyway I will try my luck with this jackpot number and give it a try first before switching to something else. I had a lot of luck these days, maybe I am once again lucky - who knows :)

This is the same all over Internet nowadays, if you try to start a Youtube channel, Instagram, tiktok, Amazon or whetever
You would have to spend alot of money to build a brand

I telling about advertising as the main server, because that's how I think here you won't find testers to test everything thoroughly.

High exp rate server no have on 7.4 market , but , probably won't find too many people willing to play the test server.

I meant 7.4 with a custom map, because it is not on the market, and when it appears, it is a copy of something in some rubbish from someone's old files.

Well, you are still recognizable among players who play longer, but among new players your brand is rather too weak to mean anything on the market.

I remember you have old times war also sniper- war.org or something like that 7.4, you even had an interesting map, I'm not sure if it was your project, I mean one edition where in the north of the city there were quite interesting walls on a non-standard the map.

There, for a sniper war, the fights fought mainly to the northwest on something like a walls, like Carlin or Thais, but it was a wall long and wide and entirely made of parquet.
