Hey guys, just making a small post sharing some thoughts and our last patches.
Recently we hit a new players record after being online for almost 18 months - without any resets! That's amazing, especially considering this was just intended to be a small beta to make sure things were working correctly.

We have also begun working on a new wiki like site, it will contain information about items, bosses and more things automatically pulled from the server. The last patches has mainly been about adding new spawns, quests and some more content to the server. I think before the next area is added there'll be some different kind of updates, maybe some new systems, events etc.

Another small patch that adds some new content inside the 1400+ area along with a new dungeon.
-Added a new spawn inside the 1400+ area.
-Added two new quests inside the 1400+ area.
-Added a new dungeon for players above level 1600.
-Added a new boss.
-Many new equipment pieces has been added, obtainable from the new boss and the new dungeon.
-Exori max star and exori gran star now deals it's damage over a 500ms period instead of over a 1 second period.
-Daily tasks can now contain 1400+ monsters.

New command

Added a new command, it toggles "super safe mode" on and off. Super safe mode makes you unable to attack ANY player, even if they have skull. This can be used to prevent getting yellow skull and more.
To use this command you can type !safe, !safemode or !supersafe.

Hello, today there will be a small patch adding some new content inside the 1400+ area.
-Most quest monsters can no longer spawn with white skulls, there still might be some cases of quest monsters having white skulls in lower level quests, where there's sometimes normal monsters, and quest monsters which aren't fully considered as quest monsters.
-Monster boxes can no longer spawn containing quest monsters.
-Some quest monsters had their power lowered, mostly in quests between levels 650->900.
-Added two new spawns inside the 1400+ area.

-Fixed a bug that caused you to consume more than 1 spooky heart if you had a stack of them.
-Now when you look/enter the nightmare charm quest, it will properly tell you if you've completed the quest. Previously it always told you that it wasn't completed.
-There's a couple of new houses located south of the city.
 
Would be nice to see some mystery quests 1400+. Keep working, really good server. It has been a long time since I've played ots for more than 2 months :D
 
maybe open new server in NA?

There's no plans for that either, we already have some troubles responding to players with just one server, and not looking to expand further.

Hello the past weeks we've focused mainly on doing some improvements on our website, here's a couple of those changes:
-Added power games & exp history pages, character profiles now also includes experience history stats for the past week.
-Made it clearer how to change email.
-Inactive accounts can no longer be logged into if it's accessed from a new location (they also can't be logged into ingame), by logging into the website you can activate the account again via email. It's therefore very important to use a real mail, we will also add some ingame notifications about that.
-We now have a new "wiki" that automatically pulls monster, items and dungeons information from the server, it also contains most information from the old wiki.
-The downloads page has been changed, now the otcv8 client is the one we recommend to all new players.
There's also a couple of more website changes we're working on, a market system should be ready soon along with other things that has been requested for awhile.

Today there will also be a small ingame patch, the changes can be read below:
-The autoloot list can now contain 13 items, instead of 10.
-Exura gran san now scales better with levels, this will cause high level paladins to heal a lot more.
-100 diamond coins can now be converted into 1 supreme gold coin and 100 evolunia tokens can be converted into 1 great evolunia token. This will be useful for the new market system that will come.
-Great Succubus is now considered a rare boss (will make it give 2x experience, and chance to give lucky attribute on kill).
-Gigantic Eyeball now deals more damage, and gives more experience on kill.
-Two new charms has been added as boss drops, rose charm & tuning fork charm.
-Players now deal a tiny bit less damage towards other players.
-Guardian charm now gives 3% damage reduction instead of 6% damage reduction. This was one of the first charms created, and you got it from one of the first quests, it should not be one of the most used charms for late game players. This charm also made it hard for us to add other defensive charms, there will be more defensive charms in the future, and some was added in this patch.
-The mythical melee weapons has received some changes: Mythical axe has received -2% damage taken, the 6% damage increase stat been changed to 8% critical chance. Mythical club now gives an extra 1% attack speed, and now also gives -2% damage taken. Mythical sword now gives -3% damage taken (previously was -2% damage taken).
-Previously there was around 1% chance to obtain two crystal coins, or a mystery box from the "orbs/arrows/essences" that monster drops. This has now been removed, and has been replaced with a buff that makes you cast another spell when you cast a spell for 20 seconds. The chance to obtain that buff is around 8%, it's now also less likely to obtain the double damage buff (instead you'll gain the new buff).
-A new room for players above level 1700 has been added, currently it contains two new spawns and two new quests.

Not a single day under 350 players almost whole day with 450 players, it seems the online numbers are going up and down only about 100 players per day/week/month...

It seems like 300-350 "players are there logged in permanently somewhere, so basically it's maybe 100 people who are logging normally in and out sometimes. A few months ago the server had like 200 players max and that was spoofed either, they probably added more "fake chars online" since no one was checking their spoofed connections yet.

By that logic, does all games on steam fake their player numbers? Path of Exile - Steam Charts (https://steamcharts.com/app/238960) path of exile, hasn't had under 10k users logged in at the same time the past week, so they have 10k fake accounts online all the time? 🤪

Yes you are right but in this game people think different, spoof=dead game not worth to play also otservlist owner is strick against this mode of "getting players". So quite wrong compare try. Also medivia is banned from otservlist coz of this tho (ironyt didnt want to send max 4mcs from one player due to rune makers), so another great example you've posted.
 
Around two weeks ago we added a market system to our website to make it a bit easier for players to trade with each other, over 2k items have been listed there by players, and around 1k items have been purchased!

Last weeks we also hit much higher player peaks than ever before, because of that our server started to have some performance issues again, but we've been hard at work to optimize things and it seems that those issues are gone once and for all now. This weekend we also improved server saves, now they should be much faster and server will not freeze as often. Our server has soon hit 30k registered players, there's many new players joining everyday - and it's easy for new players to get started - so if you haven't tried our server yet - it's always easy to join and get into.

Hello, today there will be a small patch mainly to implement some changes which should make server saves smoother. During the last weeks we have worked hard on improving the servers performance, and it seems that all issues related to that was fixed once and for all with some changes we made 2 days ago.
We will also be adding some new content with this restart:
-Two new spawns have been added inside the 1700+ area. (note that these monsters won't show up in the wiki - they will be added during the week after we have made some improvements to the site)
-Daily tasks now contains 1700+ monsters.
-A new quest has been added inside the 1700+ area.
-A new system for server saves (the old server saves that freezes the server will still exist while we test the new system).

Today there was another patch, last week we've hit new peaks yet again - but I guess that's mainly due to corona - I hope everybody is okay! 👍

First of all we'll list some changes that we have only posted on our discord, these changes have been in the game for awhile but haven't been mentioned on our website yet.
-Help Channel has been renamed to Help English, to show that it's made for english messages only.
-Trade messages are no longer allowed inside the help channel, and such messages are automatically blocked - trying to bypass that will cause your characters to get a punishment.
-The help channel now automatically tries to answer some common questions to new players.
-The market now contains tooltips for items.
Here's a list of changes that will be made with todays patch:
-Made further adjustments to server saves, the server will now save even more - and ontop of that there will be less freezes.
-The skull remover item can now only be used while your are in PZ.
-The haste spell scroll now also gives +10 skills while you are affected by utani hur.
-A new system has been added, you can now look at portals to spawns, or enter them - to get a message about attribute points in that spawn. It will tell you if the spawn contains an attribute, or if it doesn't contain one - it will also tell you if you've found that attribute already. This change also required us to go through every chest (not just chests inside spawns) on the server, and we found a couple of more hidden attribute points that has never been found by any player so far - so try and find them! (and do not ask us about where they are ^^).
-Some effects will now also appear at your character when you look at a quest or spawn teleport, to easier show if you've completed it already. If you've completed or found an attribute, hearts effect will appear at your character, a poff effect will appear when you haven't completed or found the attribute, and a block effect will appear when the spawn does not contain an attribute point.
-The message from utito mas vis will no longer appear in the local chat.
-The automatic healing system from the server (the !autoheal command) will now try to heal you twice as often.
-Added a new spawn inside the 1700+ zone.
-Added a new quest inside the 1700+ zone.
-A couple of new tasks has been added to NPC Maddog.

Hello, today there will be a patch with some bug fixes, some new content and some general improvements. First I will list some changes which have already been in the game for a while but not mentioned anywhere:
-Players that are killed in the city, in narrow spots, and in some other areas and are much lower level than the ones that killed them will now be teleported to temple instead of dying. This should prevent high levels getting unwanted frags in most cases.
-A death protection system has been added, this system will make it so that if you lose connection and die inside of a spawn by a monster you will not lose any experience, this system also received some improvements today as it did not fully work against those masskicks.

New changes which will be added today:
-Players can now only type a message into world chat every 30 seconds.
-You can now convert 100 dungeon tokens into 1 great dungeon token.
-3 new spawns has been added inside of the 1700+ area.

-Houses are no longer cleaned at restarts, they will from now on only be cleaned at their set time (21:40 CEST).
-Dungeon bosses will now be removed after 40 minutes of taking no damage, instead of only when a new dungeon floor has been generated. This should make it so that monster exiva works better for finding dungeon bosses in your floor.
-1 new quest has been added inside of the 1700+ area.
-The experience death penalty from monsters has been reduced, players above level 1000 are going to lose around 20% less experience on death, up to 45% less experience on death at level 1900 if they die from monsters. PvP experience loss is unchanged.

28.4.2020 - Patch

A new update containing some new rare items, rare outfits, bosses, a new area and some other things will be added today.
-Two new spawns has been added inside the 1700+ area.
-Two new quests has been added inside the the 1700+ area.

-Knights now deal a little bit more damage, and take a little bit less damage in pvp.
-Two new stats have been added: Damage Penetration & Dodge Chance. These can both be found on items, and as rewards from quests etc in the future.
-Damage Penetration will make you ignore a percentage of the targets Damage Reduction. This stat will be another way to boost your characters damage, and due to how it works it's going to be more efficient against targets with high damage reduction, two examples will be posted below.
If you have 5% damage penetration, and the target has 80% damage reduction, you will now deal damage to the target as if it had 75% damage reduction instead of 80% damage reduction. This will make you deal 25% more damage towards the target.
If you have 5% damage penetration and the target has 0% damage reduction (such as monsters), you will now deal damage to the target as if it took 5% more damage. This will make you deal 5% more damage towards the target.
-Dodge Chance will give you a chance to avoid damage taken from creatures. If you have 5% dodge chance, there's a 5% chance for you to take zero damage when you get hit by a creature. This will be quite a rare stat, as we don't want players to have a high amount of dodge.
-The !stats command has been updated to contain the new stats.
-Around 10 new rare items has been added, a long with some new outfit & mount items.
-Some existing bosses have had their loots adjusted (they will now drop a couple of new items).
-Gigantic Eyeball & Mindreader now has more health, and deals more damage.
-A new boss has been added, Crystalbeast, located inside the Crystal Fighter spawn.
-A new boss has been added, Shadow Lord, located inside the shadowlands.
-A new area has been added north of the city, replacing the old "raid area". This area is called the shadowlands, it is accessible for players above level 1500. This area contains a couple of new monsters which drops some rare items, attributes to find, and a new boss (mentioned above). The monsters in this area are a bit harder than normal spawn monsters, but they also have much better loot.
-The city has received a couple of changes, a new path has been opened up inside the pvp arena area, containing a couple of new houses, and a path to the shadowlands.


Server running along smoothly, had some issues with lags at peak times due to the increased server popularity that corona caused, but those seems to be mostly gone now with some changes and optimizations we did! I will also share some screenshots of some ingame activities:

There are various examples of bad job at Evolunia, for example this picture Old Powerz is a gm at this server, using gm commands in battles and he's in enemy guild.
We also sent proof of other team using noobchars in war, using sio from houses when we're in defense.. They are borrowing/selling accounts to blacklisted people WICH gm is in the same guild as for example. Like a GM/God or whatever can't take sides on an ot server because shit like this happens. For example one of our guildies got banned for trying to scam someone, fair you get banned. He never get banned before but got banned for 3 years.. Meanwhile people breaking the rules getting banned for like 3-7 days at a time, some people got banned like 3-4 times and it was for only a few days at a time. But as soon as our guild member did something he got instabanned for 3 years
