Gilgamach - Mapping Showoff

Some of these Sprites will be in the next Summer Update 2020. The first Teaser was about the Order of the Lion but it still has content to be shown. It looks like there will be 27 new Items as well. Some of them for medium level like that of this image and others High.

This unfinished Dragon's Nest has some not very common things. The floor is Nostalgia and the Walls are Astral Shaper. The idea would be like a Warzone having several Elemental Dragons themed rooms up to a Last Boss with an Ancient Dragon.

Using some new Sprites from the Store and some other old ones I tried to make a Forge today. Some details around need a better job to be attached in a city but in general I liked the result.

The competition vote is over so I will show you in more detail my mapping this time. The general idea is to create a VIP Island with Npc's for all your needs. To buy equipment, creature products, special regeneration foods and many others. The first building on the island would be 2-3 Npc's and other constructions would be made to house the others. This is the first time that I have made such a detailed map with nature.

My idea for the "first year of the plague" theme would be something like a plague doctor trying to find a cure for the disease. It would have started in a village outside the city and had not taken on large proportions yet. There are all kinds of people lying on the straws, some of whom have already died and others are very close to it.

I also used a "drip" sprite that is seen in some mines to simulate leaking water from the top floor but here it is like rain. A scenario with a dark palette on the outside and everything is very rustic, being a little different inside the hut of the plague doctor.

Although he's been doing a lot of researching all kinds of herbs and reading his books and scrolls so far he hasn't been able to find a suitable way to stop this (and he probably won't). Some have already passed away and were placed in coffins to remove it and vacate space for other patients who will arrive.

 
I am replicating the island of Rascacoon from the global. I finished the main island, all task areas, boss rooms and reward. I did more than half of the subsoil and I should finish and review the rest in about three days. The boat island hasn't started yet but after I finish the subsoil I go to it.

Now one thing I think could be optional and there is no global one would be to make a small depot with a relatively hidden entrance somewhere near the buildings. I made a model based on the Sprites palette that you have in your constructions.

In this map I also purposely used the Sprite of clear water that is possible to walk on it since in the global it is not and there are few places that you can do that. It is being an extremely detailed job to replicate all of this while taking into account that I am correcting the errors of the original that have missing sprites, borders and the like.

Temple of White Raven. He would probably stay in an elf-themed city on a mountain. Inside is Npc White Raven which has a special mission for players.

No pigeon making white marks on walls? :p But seriously this wall stuff can grow up to the roof, I will for sure do so haven't thought about it sooner^^
Colorful, can't wait how it would fit to rest of village...
but didn't You want to make it centric? I mean: it looks like there is sth wrong with symmetry.
 
Really one side of it is bigger than the other but I did it on purpose. when looking at the building from above it leaves the impression of similar corridor sizes on the side without the roof covering part of the map below. I actually had another initial idea for this "leaf roof" but in the middle of the process I ended up doing something different.

The initial idea was to make a ramp with this sloping grass and build a house on the top floor of it, making a kind of symbiosis between the grass and the building. I can even try to do it later, but for now I liked that result. To attach it to a larger map I think of something like a lake on top of a mountain where I need to go up, down and go through several places before I get there.

But for now I will do just that part. I'm working on another bigger project and sometimes I make some extra maps when I have a random idea.
 
I moved Npc Zoltan from the Ivory towers to the Castle of Thais. I think of doing something similar with other Npc's as well. For example, in the place where Liberty Bay is located, I attached another pirate-style island there and I have to move the Npc's to the correct locations on that island. In my Global-Custom project, I modify some parts, removing others and adding new ones as well. I hope that at the end of the day the result will be satisfactory but it should still take some time.

An example of what I intend to do at the Taint Hall in Zarganash is to create new areas for the Portals, perhaps keeping Furious Crater from the original and creating completely new ones for others. An expansion by Feyrist to address the aquatic world of fairies. A mysterious rift that leads to the Sight of Surrender refuge to meet others of their race. There are many ideas, most of which are based on the original Tibia lore.

It's not a lot, but there were some other changes I made in the reformed version of Thais. A treasure from the Paladin's Guild (with corridors), Potion's Shop and Valuable Shop.

Trying to do something with a Native American Mayan / Inca cave theme. Something like a treasure surrounded by countless pitfalls and challenges. I used some clippings from old ideas and testing new ones but it must still be far from the expected result. I probably should use basalt walls with crystals as the base of the place and adding details that make the construction little by little.

A more refined way since last time. The cave still needs to expand further, but the view with low light effects is very different. The idea would be a mix of aquatic world and crystal creatures to gain access to a valuable treasure. It will take some time to be functional.


Anyway more details of my map of Enchanted Forest and my cue from Otland for a while.
