Got server working - can't tell if things in-game are working

Hello, I have never played Tibia, I am setting this up for me and my friends.

I spawned in this area, is there supposed to be an NPC here to give me stuff? Am I supposed to have some items already? I can't tell if this is "normal" or not.

If I’m not mistaken NPC Al Dee spawns there. You are probably in beginner island Rookgaard.

In oldschool Tibia you would spawn with a bag, club, some chest armor and food.

It's not Al Dee's shop, it's clearly a custom map.

I see, I followed this tutorial, I didn't know I was getting a custom map:

I was hoping to just have the normal Tibia map, any idea how I can download that instead?

OpenTibia distributions, data packs, maps, tools and website applications can be downloaded from this board.

Go to distributions or maps and searching for "global", "real", or something like that. Then copy and paste the map from downloaded distribution to your ots folder called "world".
