It was the midnight between 27th and 28th May, one year ago, OtLand was formed by Talaturen, and Kornholijo. We did not expect OtLand to grow this large, but thanks to you members, donators and staff members for supporting us we were able to switch from the forum software MyBB to vBulletin and purchase the Galaxy theme from ForumThemes.
Our goal was to create a community for the OpenTibia project, and seeing that we got over 9000 members since the creation, OtLand sure has been successful. We are aiming to have over 20000 members in May 2009.
Today we also updated the OtLand logo to the winning one of the competition which was held by Jester. alkamenes who created the logo has received a donator subscription for three months. Thanks & Congratulations to him. Agostino who created the logo we have been using since the first days with the Galaxy theme has also received a donator subscription for three months as we never managed to really thank him. We have also recently reset the stats on the arcade to give everyone a chance to get on the top 10 again.
Besides that we want you to understand that we will be more strict with some rules in the future, for example the censored words are supposed to remain censored and not bypassed, such actions will from now on lead to an infraction which will be followed by a banishment if it is repeated. Cheating on the Arcade is another thing we will take strict actions against.
We would also like to inform you that we are not far from being able to purchase the vBulletin Project Tools. The vBulletin Project tools will make it easier to handle things like bugs and feature requests for the hosted projects on OtLand.
