I am planning to get a SSD for my computer.

The problem is I have two brands and I don't know which one I should pick:
Amazon.com: Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 120 GB SATA 6.0 Gb-s 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive (MKNSSDCR120GB-DX): Electronics
Or
Amazon.com: Transcend 128GB SATA III 6Gb/s 2.5 inch SSD 560/530 MB/s TS128GSSD320: Computers & Accessories

After my researches they are both almost the same and everyone gave them a good word, but I've read that the chronos version dies earlier than the transcend's one.

These are currently my only options so don't suggest another thing.

Thanks in advance :D

Well, in that case, I would go with whatever is cheapest. However, the Mushkin has better IOPS and seems to have high speed NAND. These drives are very similar, both even have similar controllers.

I'd like to point out they"re both the same price but 8gb more is worth it?

Both drives will have similar capacities as well. You never see the full 128GB or 256GB from any drive because a certain amount is partitioned to help the drive last longer, in a sense. With a 256GB SSD, only 234.8GB is usable, and after an OS is installed you'll have about 208GB available for you to use. So, in your case, you'll probably have less than 100GB from either drive. I've never used anything less than 256GB, my games take up so much space.

An SSD is totally worth the investment though. You're going to love the boot time and load times of software, as long as you install everything properly. I do not recommend you clone an HDD to an SSD, that will decrease the performance and could decrease the life of the SSD as well. You also don't want to take whatever viruses you may have from your HDD and put them on a brand new SSD. Do a clean install of Windows.
