Help with OT server/remere's

Ok so im working on making my first OT and im getting help but wanted to look up stuff for myself.. I found this..

However I have been doing some mapping on remeres for 10.77

So would my map not work? Do I have to completely restart?

Also is this guide outdated? It was posted in 2011 and its like 2016 now so im not sure. Are there other guides more up to date or is this the best one? Its one of the actual guides I found..

It's also quite old, but it's not that much different on newer versions.
