Hello,
I am just wondering what the requirements should be for a home computer hosting to avoid DDoS attacks as far as possible, for a sane price.
At the moment i have 4gb ram memory and my internet sucks,
but im about to upgrade to 1000mb internet and to between 8-16gb ram memory, im just wondering if this will make it harder to DDoS or is it practiclly the same?

If it will be the same, how can i do so that i can avoid this issue, and i'd really feel more comfortable having it hosted on my own computer.
I've also heard rumors about that 1000mb internet should do the trick, can someone confirm that this is actually true or just a saying?

I know that DDoS cannot be avoided, but it can be dodged and that is what i would like to know, how to do it, at home.

Thanks, i appreciate it

Best Regards
Lightonia.

DDoS can be avoided if you get a ddos protected vpn or that you buy a ddos protected VPS. Same feeling as hosting from home because only YOU are the one with access to the VPS.

Got any website you can recommend? And how about the 1gb internet, does it make it harder or is it a false statement?

No because normally a normal DDos has a power on 3 gbits per second. (The ones you buy)
I am pretty sure noone has a ddos on 100 mbits per second anymore

I would personally recommend vpns like openvpn.org and crashvpn.org
They are easy to setup and their pretty cheap.
