I propose bringing back the Hosted Project Forums!




Pros;
Attract more members to the community.
More people will purchase premium status to have their hosted board.

Maybe well-developed custom maps could get forums?

If everyone could get a hosted forum here the Otland stuff would disepear, only people who shows their server is good enough should get one. Allthough I'm sure Talaturen removed this becuse of a good reason, I doubt that he will bring it back.

There are 30 premium members online now, and many more in total. If everyone gets his hosted board, Otland will consist in 99% of hosted trashboards.
It's not difficult to create your own forum. The only reason you would want to have board here is to attract people. And this requires very good reason, much better than donating. If you have one, contact admin.

Good idea, I should have put this in my main post

There were no cons to the Hosted Project Boards in my opinion. Tala/Korn regulated who got one and the boards quite well in my opinions. Only to dedicated/popular servers. It brought a lot of users to OTland (I can expressively remember at least 4 that I brought from my server onto OTland via the Hosted Project Board which now have Premium Status and are making OTs because I almost forced my players to register to the forums). It would liven up the online count especially for popular servers. As long as posts from there don't pop up on the 'Latest Posts' board, then we're all good. I think if Global Mods were given the ability to make Hosted Project Boards & moderate which subsections the 'owner' of it would be able to add (as long as it's approved by Tala/Korn) then it would be a very moderated and successful thing.

I know it takes time, but I feel if it's given to Global Mods as a responsibility, it would work well for everybody (as most active Global Mods have plenty of time to moderate this as well)
And as for spam/unwanted content, make the 'owner' of the Hosted Project Board directly responsible for all posted content (as they're given moderator privileges to their own board)

I like this. Since we're trying to get more active users, I'm 100% for it.

Well, it's okay. You probably quit Cyntara before you made OTs, right?
It would make people familiar with an Open Tibia Forum. I still think it's a good idea.
