How can I make new monster attack types?

Hello, I created some kind of fire field but that deals ice damage and it looks blue(sort of an ice field). The problem is that I can't make it work as monster attacks such as the dragon lord's fire field ability. I tried many things but it doesn't let a monster's attack create an area of ice fields on the ground.
EDIT: forgot to say that it is a 8.60 version

It's not that. I meant I wanted to create a new type of monster spell that would create an ice field area just like a dragon lord creates a fire field area when he attacks.

Look at how the fire field is made in your source code, add the spirits then add the "new" ice field code.
AFAIK there is no ice fields so you have to create the animations etc.
