How do I import my database?

I just switched from windows to linux. How do I import my database? I have the whole mysql folder here. please tell me step by step :O

when i transfer from windows to windows i use rar file the whole xampp but it was same OS but i no think thats idea from windows to linux :/

try to use SSH for transfering the data correctly !
SSH client
SSH Server on remote box
mysqldump command
UNIX pipes

commands on shell !

$ mysqldump foo | ssh [email protected] mysql foo

$ mysqldump recipe chocolate | ssh [email protected] mysql icecream

why you dont use just a virtual box to run windows under your linux?
