Solved how do i set root in phpmyadmin?

I can just log strait into my database theres not root password security thing or anything how do i set it up?
Just installed windows 7

Enter http://localhost and then "Security" in the left menu, then change the password there.

im getting this when putting in the password

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

when i put it in right or w.e it just reloads that page :/

Restarted comp and fixed the prob

Ye, priviliges have to be reloaded. Therefore it's not recommended to change password from the same user.
