How i host a server from a vps?

I will by a vps with a 2gb ram form godaddy.com for 38usd like 450 in pesos mexicanos

And i have some questions...
how i transfer my server folder to my vps? megaupload,usb memory?
can i run xampp on my vps? phpmyadmin, run my website?
will i lose all my database? how i make to keep exactly the same database with accs and players? do i have to imported and exported?

if you ppl know about hosting from a vps, it well be nice if you can share your experience

You cant use Xammp on a linux server that will be apache2 or liggtp somting like that
You can upload files to your vps with filezilla ( ftp server )

You can aslo instal phpmyadmin
with few commands
+ You can make a backup of your old database and inport it in your vps

my vps have acces to the internet, check the forum,search in google something like that?
the vps has it own internet or it depends on mine?
you know like i dont have internet here in my house but the server still runs because it use internet from the company..

Hes using Windows...
Windows have a huge Ram usage...

So 16mb map 3gb max 50 players and then out of memory... (crash)

Yes it will.. Windows is using some of the memory too...
Xammpp too ect ect...

it your using 0.3.6 it will crash verry fast

but if you have tfs without XML you can easy handle with 2gb

2gb is noting here we have standard 4gb.. and i have 8gb on my pc :s
