How to get my ps3 to read all the music on my computer?

I have the older ps3 and my friend x360key has the newer version. And when we go on the wifirobin internet on his... His automatically can pull up all the songs, pictures, etc on my computer. And bladeless fan mine doesnt?! How do I get mine to do so?
