A mapping tutorial for RME map editor by izaak..
this way of mapping wil allow you to create good maps , city's and quests/spawns in a short amount of time...
first you need to know the basic hotkey's to develope your mapping skills and speed.
[hotkey's]
-----------------selecting small or large area ,all at once.----
hold down shift and click and hold your left mouse button on the top left of the area you want to select , then move your cursor to the bottom right of the area you want to select , and let go of your shift button, then let go of your mouse button.
[ the area is now selected.
----------------copying a object , or a selected area/ title......
press ctrl + C at the same time.
this wil copy the selected area or object
..................pasting an object or selected area.....
hold ctrl and press V this wil paste the item or area youve copied.
[note] when you ctrl + v the item is not placed into the map yet]
to place it inside the map slide your mouse to the location you want the item or area and left click with your mouse..

you can open more then 1 otbm files at the same time...

step 1
open a blank otbm and map a few houses/guildhalls , dp's and shops and leave some space between evrything you map,dont map in the floors yet.
[the reason you do this is because now you can use the same house etc over and over.]
step 2 open the map you want to place the houses etc.in , to create the city but do not close the new otbm you made in step 1.
step 3
go into the blank otm with the houses , select the house or spawn you want to place in , copy it and go into your world otbm [ the 1 u want the city]
now paste it in ,all you have to do now is make the floor and your done.
------------------why is this faster?...................
you can copy and paste islands , spawns , houses , mountains over and over without having to build the whole house or spawn again. it also copies the house titles , and all the zone's pro , pvp zone etc.
