My internet keeps disconnecting every few minutes :(

I called my isp and they told me it's a splitter problem (I use splitter for router and for the phone)

Could it really be a problem in the splitter?
Or if the splitter had a problem the internet itself wouldn't be working?

I need a good reply asap :)

Will rep++

It depends rush, if it is the splitter itself as in the hardware malfunction or software it wouldn't be your splitter unless they are replacing it each time it fails. Unless it is restarting constantly, ask them to get you a direct line through, that would be my suggestion.

Edit: Ask them if it is the splitter and what is causing it to malfunction.

Code:
Filter vs. Splitter explained..
A splitter is the alternative setup for DSL and Voice in the same premise .. it sits at the NID, or entry point of the line to the premise, and splits off the data portion of the signal so that it can be run cleanly through the house.
Generally, splitters support full rate ADSL if available, whereas filters limit top speed to a megabit or so. Recommended if using 4+ telco devices.

A distributed filter, or micro-filter, is a small electronic component that fits between your phone line and a regular voice device, such as a phone, a fax, or any device with a regular modem such as a cable box, alarm system or digital TV.
When DSL (ADSL) is provided over voice lines, all devices in the house except the DSL modem must be connected through filters. The filter protects the devices from high frequency noise. They are low-pass filters.

I'd preferrably stay with the splitter and I just saw this but:

The filter protects the devices from high frequency noise.

That could also be a cause of your internet being disruppted. Any high frequency noises will disrupt it, so make sure there is nothing that might cause an electric or a specific frequency that might disturb your cable, ie: Fridges, Microwaves, Cellphones, Phones, Other cables, etc.

I changed my router to the old one and so far i didn't get any disconnection :)

Just be careful, sometimes the old one might be worse. If you are using DSL I'd say the best way to go is probably a proper internet (as in it's an internet only) service provider.

I am 100% sure this was a router problem :)

But how come can the router cause this problem?

Maybe the cord was put in incorrectly? I couldn't tell you unless I had the specific details and you fiddled with it.

It seems my internet disconnects alot at the morning and doesn't disconnect alot (10%) at night

maybe cut cable coming to my house and sun affects on it?

If the cable is cut then it could be that either one or some of the wires are cut and having faulty connections when they get moved. Sunlight has no effect on cables ot data transfer what so ever.
