Hey I was wondering.
This isn't only for tibia, as well as other game private servers.
My friend owns a server, but his internet is shit.
He wants to run it, but I have amazing internet.
I really doubt this is possible, but maybe it is?
'Running the server, on his computer, but running it off my internet connection'
Wouldn't this be possible by changing the IP in the config files, then port forwarding maybe with my IP?
Or maybe theres a program that allows this?
Any way?
If someone knows a way to do it, tell me. I know it's kind of a stupid question, but It's just bothering me to much to let it slide :P

Im pretty sure you can do it only if your computer and your friend's computer are running on Linux, by using the X Window system.

But maybe Im wrong. I also dont think you can do that on Windows, if anyone knows better correct me if Im wrong.

Btw if you dont know what any of this is, then you could research on the net or better yet, not do anything cause you might end messing up your cpu :p If the server is serious Id recommend your friend to save some money and buy a Windows dedicated server on the net to host the OT. Probably something like this but Idk Ive never bough dedic running on Windows, you'd have to ask someone else for this.

Cheers~

He can always have the computer at your house and use some kind of remote desktop to manage the OTserv :P

True :p In my post for some reason I was thinking your friend would be like in a different town or too far from your home to do it or something like that, but if your friend can do what Jocce said then dont even mind my post :p

Cheers~
