Windows IP Failover

I wondered if someone could explain to me about IP Failover
I've heard that if you have a dedicated server and have more IP's than 1 you can host more servers that one on them. I currently have 5 IP's and would like to know about this IP Failover

Good luck hosting 5 servers. You should have atleast 3-4 gb for 1 RL-map server.

i dont wana host 5.. just 1 more lol, only said i had 5 ips . and im not hosting rl maps

If you are hosting 2 servers at the same time, and they are both successful, you probably want a bigger RAM :S
My computer has a built in RAM of 6gb, and I can't hold that many people :/

Yeah, if you plan on hosting +1 server, you might want to consider upgrading your package for more RAM.

Hes not asking about ram, why is everybody so worried about it? A small server is not unreasonable to use less then 1.5gb ram each..

I am saying, if his servers become successful.

The server might use that, but if he plans on having a lot of players play, his memory might cap.

Well it has to do with that, but also with a successful server you need at least 10mb upload speed

Not true, you could have a successful and populated server with only 1/4 of that.

It's about .50 MB/S upload required per 30 players~
