Hello, I decided to write a story.. I don't really know if it's any good or not, I wrote it pretty fast, but it's not over yet. Just sit back and read. I'll post updates of it each day.
Uniq Gynwing - [Main Character] Uniq was a little boy when his mother was killed in a barrage of arrows by guards trying to hit the runaway peasants, his father took him under his wing and raised him with hardship. Then, sadly, when he was 16 years old, his father also died, in war.. Since then, he was training to be in the army, just like his father. At age 19, he joined the Orion Army, he fought his way through 2 wars, and became a Knight. He is well known as a commander in his town, and as a scholar..
Authan Tunley - Authan is a Lieutenant in the Orion Army that always helps out Uniq when he is in need. He is the king's bodyguard, and is a great person. He has a big scar on his left eye, and on his right leg. He is 27 years old, and has been in the Army since he was 17. He is also well known in the town, but he is not cruel, he is one of the nicest people there, but during war, he wants to fight for what he believes in, and will not rest until that is done.
Ava Tunley - Authan's sister.
Barlow Gynwing - Uniq's father. He was executed in war.
Introduction
“Hey Uniq, why are you out here? Your far away from the village, you might get hurt.” Asked Ava. I quickly turned in fright of the voice, I was far away, yes, and that's why I didn't think anyone would be out here. Ava was a younger girl, a year younger than I, but she was beautiful, she had these very pale blue eyes that shined every time someone would look at her, and her brown hair was as shiny and soft as a newborn child's. She was also highly rich, her mother married a prince of a nearby city, Vernon, and they moved here after the city was secreted in flames. All in all, she was a great person, and I guess I sort of admired her.
“Well, I ran out of firewood. I searched around my farm, but all of the good timber was cut down to make wagons I guess. So, why not try harder and go down here, there is always a bulk of them out here during this time.” I answered, trying to keep my voice from giving it away that I was nervous. I looked down and back up at Ava, she smiled and giggled, I think she noticed I was nervous, my body was feeling warm, and I'm guessing my face was red as an apple. I smiled too, trying to hide that I was embarrassed by this.
“Well, you could have just asked me to come help you, I'm good at finding timber, my father has a big list in his desk of where the best places there are to get them. You didn't have to search for it this much, it must of taken you hours to get here. But haven't I told you about my father's list?” Ava laughed.
“Uhm, well I.. Uh..” Ava cut me off of my response. “Wait a second! Your embarrassed to ask me!” She chuckled. “Uniq, don't be scarred to ask me to do simple things like that, I would love to help you, after all, you did help me get my father's ring back from Heath.” She added. I looked down again, trying not to laugh, but I couldn't help it, I let a small sigh go, and looked up.
“Okay. The next time I need your help, I'll ask. No matter what it is. I swear.” I stated, trying to be valiant in this situation.
“Good. I will be expecting you. But come, we are about to have dinner, why don't you join us, your alone for a while aren’t you?” She said, and smiled while doing so, as if she would be happy in for me to come over and have dinner. I haven't had a royal dinner since my father left, it would be good for me to have it right now, I was starving, and besides, Ava will be there.
“Well then, let's get going shall we, we don't want to be wait, I know your father, and he does not like to be kept waiting.” I grasped her hand, and we both darted off to the village, it was a mile away, so we had to be quick if we wanted to be there by nightfall we had to move fast.
It was around 30 minutes later that we got to the village, we were both greatly tired. I noticed a guard standing by my farm door, outside of the city, and I took a second glance at it, just to see if it wasn't a guard, maybe a person I knew, but sure enough it was, he was holding something, a note. “Hey Ava, why don't you go and get ready, I'll go to my farm to get some new clothes on, I don't want to wear farmer's clothes in a royal dinner.” I said, she nodded and walked away. I quickly ran over to the man outside of my house, looked up to him, and asked “What is this for? Who is it from?” The man just shook his head and handed me the note.
“It's from your father.” He said, in a grim tone. And walked away outside of the city, and into a wagon. The horses trotted off, and left. I opened up the letter, and it stated...
Dear Uniq,
My dear son, I regret telling you these things in this letter, but I must. I have committed treason amongst my group, and I was to see to be executed immediately after sending this letter. I was searching around my general's base camp, trying to burn the plans to take out a nearby village. The village was doing nothing to help the war, in fact, they were on our side. I was caught by his attendant just ten minutes after finding the plans. And now, here I am, on chains in front of the camp, sending you the last goodbyes I will ever say. I hope you the best of luck in this damned foolish world of ours, and the greatest of times in our village.
With all my love, goodbye son.

2 Years Later
“Get up Uniq, we have some work to do. Some peasants in the fields are riling up again, they say they don't get paid enough.. What a pity, we can barley afford our weapons for war, but the most low-lining class of the whole damned world demands money.” Lieutenant Authan exclaimed, with a tone so demanding, I was awake before it stuck my ears. Authan always had a commanding voice, better than our general in fact. Although, he is a good man at heart, and I love how violent he becomes on the battlefield, it's almost as if him and only him was sent out into a jungle to kill a thousand jaguars by hand, and if he dies, his family looses everything they have.
“Alright. Alright. I'll go check out this problem, maybe throw in some fake gold or something, just to keep them quiet for the day.” I replied, in a tired, hushed voice.
“Good Uniq, just like you always do, solve the problem in a blink of eye.” Authan said, smiling
with a bit of a chuckle. Authan has known me for quite a while, we were friends when I was younger, and we both went into the army together, to fight by our sides, to always have a buddy with us, but he advanced more quickly than I could ever do, so we were not the same rank, but I pleaded with the commander to put us up in the same squad. Which worked, and I was happy about that.
I got up out of my cottage, and darted over to my chest, where my clothes were kept. I put on the crimson red, rugged, war-torn shirt of mine my tailor had left me a sum two weeks ago, and started out to the fields. But then I realized, I didn't have to go as far as I thought, they were already trying to get through the gates of the city, the guards were holding them back, as the peasants were pushing and shoving with all of their might. I walked in immediately and yelled, “Peasants of Orion! I demand you stop with this violence immediately, or I will see to it that you will all be hung in the courtyard! Go back to your work. Anyone caught trying to steal money, or attack a guard starting from now will be killed by me personally! Go on.” The peasants were furious with my decision, and the lot of them just shook their heads and walked of, while others continued to pummel the guards. “Enough. Guards! Execute the betrayers now! You have all been charged with treason. And I will have a fine put on your family after your death. I hope you made the decision you wanted.” At that time, the guards took out their swords, clubs, or whatever they had, and slayed the peasants. I looked at their corpses with disappointment. Some of them I knew, but I did what had to be done. These were hard times, and the last thing Orion needs is a bunch of mad men running around with pitchforks in the streets. “Listen up! From here on, all people that are wanting more money, or a raise for their city job, will go directly to the building of currency and trade. Anyone that tries anything like these peasants did will meet the same fate as them.” I walked off after that, I did not want to be veiled in a cloak of questions. I looked up at the sky, and saw a few birds fly by, pigeons, they were rarely seen in these parts of Britain, and I was stunned to see them. I was gazing upon their beauty. It was so heartwarming to see a wonderful sight in this barbarous world of ours. Through the eyes of a warrior, those birds would represent pain, suffering, or death. But in the eyes of someone like me, a person who has been around for the change that we did, those birds represent hope, love, and passion. The birds also represented something else. Winter was close. And we were not prepared at all.
