Windows Linux's better for OTS?

Hello everyone,

From few days ago my Open Tibia Server is 'destroying' by other peoples. I've got Mystic Spirit 0.2.9 8.7, because one man told me that server is more stable than the newest. With a certain program I blocked possibility to crash my server, but hackers still try to wreck it. I haven't more crashes, but big lags and freezes. And this is my question - does a Linux can't stop the hacker? If I installing a Linux, OTS will be safe? Maybe you know anything (scripts or other) to stop lags?
