Dear other tibia fans :D

Since yesterday i am about to try make a tibia 8.6 map starting blank. But every time i start up RME it first asks me to navigate to tibia 10.77. So thats where i start getting confused. How do i know for sure that i am making 8.6 map and not an 10.77 xD

greets, me :D

in clients.xml it will stay default="10.77" or something, remove that and put it at the 8,6 client side, then it will open rme with 8,6 as default version

In the rme main menu go to File -> Preferences -> click on the Client Version tab -> where it says Default Client Version from the drop down select the default client version you would like to load on startup and click Apply or just click OK.

You can also setup the default directories of the various tibia dat/spr files in this section of preferences.

If at any time you need to change the map's intended targeted client version you would go to the main menu and select Map -> Properties -> and where it says Client Version from the drop down select the intended client version and click ok. You can also set the current maps dimensions the minimum is 256 x 256 and I believe the maximum is 65000 x 65000.

If you have an old map which you do not have the spr/dat for you can simply load up the map editor and go to the main menu and click on File -> Import -> Import Map -> from here you can choose to import the map by clicking the Browse button, you can also set its offset in the X and Y this is where it will be loaded on the map. The House Behavior drop down just leave it as is. The Spawn Import Behavior should leave as is as well, unless you don't want to import the creatures then you would select Don't Import. Click OK and the map will load in the current map client version.

I also forgot to mention if you need to import creatures or npcs you would go to the main menu and select File - > Import -> Import Monster/NPC then navigate to your data/monsters or data/npc directories to load missing or new monsters/npc which can then be placed or loaded on the map.
