Hey.
After my "Bump Button" thread which was successful, I've came along with another idea, which I think may work.
I haven't put much time into thinking about it to be honest, though, I think it could work in some time.

A notification box, which you can click to minimize as well as maximize. This notification box will allow you to get a notification everytime someone comments on your thread or quotes your post. It can be disabled or enabled it's the members choice.

For those Facebook users, something like their notification system.

Some people may get annoyed with this system, though I think it's a decent idea.

That already exists but in another way. Just check the upper left corner, below the Otland logo and the Sitemap button, there you get your notifications.
 
Ye, why not add a button where you can invite your family and your friends to the forum as well.

Seriously this is a forum, why bother adding those extra things?
