Lets take a look at original tibia right now:

Original Tibia:

31262 Players Online

Open Tibia:

There are 32268 players online

32268 + 31262 = 63530 players total.

32268 / 63530 = 0,5079175192822289

= 50.8%~ of all currently online tibia players are playing Open Tibia.

What do you think? Last time I checked, it was around 25 - 35%.

I guess some users moved to OT after the 8.50 client update.

Transient thing, so the TFS version 0.3.5 is released with all its feactures Open Tibia servers become more stable and have more players.

Thats a good question.

Tibia started with Cipsoft.

It ended with some smart guys manage to recreate the game, in a much better way, and in open source.

And perhaps it continues to become open source, Cipsoft breaks down because their economy goes down, and at the end, they give up the license on it. And it becomes an open source game for everybody.

If we manage to get YATC (Yet Another Tibia Client) up and running, we are on a bright future.
