Hello my budget isnt the biggest one but im trying to buy a new a bit better encryption than a default otclientv8 that can be decrypted without any effort so would be great to have something a bit more secure that would make someone to suffer a bit more if they want to decrypt it. If someone got something hit me up

Then don't bother with it at all. Any encryption is useless when people have access to binaries (they use OTC code to read the files without even touching the encryption, your client decrypts it for them). You will be protected against 95% of users, sure, but when one of the 5% simply uses memory reading to dump all your files then that 95% won't matter.

Thats the point sometimes those 5% wont even bother to try even tho they could 100% but now when default otclientv8 can be decrypted with a simple exe decrypter thats where problem appears because that means anyone without any computer knowledge can just download decrypted and decrypt it with one click without putting any effort

There's techniques to counter what Oen mentions. Specifically, you must make sure that the functions handling decryption of assets cannot be called from outside of the game's binary, or that it's very hard to call them without reverse engineering the client binary.

Ultimately, anything can be broken, but still there's a lot you can do to stop download-n-run kiddies.

You can't really. Anything can be reverse engineered if you have access to the binary. There is a reason why games don't bother with encrypting their files, it is pointless.

Ofc anything can be reverse engineered, thats what I just said.

But even then, the goal of anti-tampering technologies is NOT to make software 100% impenetrable. The goal is to make it so prohibitively hard/expensive to crack that most ppl just wont bother.

That's what DRM IS. Think of Denuvo or commercial software like Themida or VMProtect.

As I said, there's A LOT you can do to deter script-kiddies.
