I can't tell if the pics are just blurry, but to me the text on the banner looks really ugly

Imo it's the grey background that should fade between that colour and just a slightly little bit more to the dark, not as much in the right menu where it's too much. So the right menu should be fixed as well. Else it looks good. Maybe you could give us some quality pictures of it, since it's blurry as said before, or/and maybe a link.
