I am trying to run a forgotten 8.54 off my computer just for a couple friends, not using a website/phpmyadmin. Most of my OT experience comes from 7.1, so I am trying to keep it simple.
My friend is attempting to connect, he is able to get to a character list... but when he actually tries to log into a character he gets "Error: cannot connect (timed out) 10060"
The ports 7171 and 7172 are both forwarded and he was able to log into the previous 7.1 server I was messing around on, without issue.
Is anyone able to tell me what the issue here is? I have edited the config file to my public IP address as well.
(running on windows 7 x64)
