having trouble with SQl


I'm new to SQL version and i'm having problems with it at the moment i've seen all tutorials and done exactly what they have said but only I can log into my server.. My friends carn't. I have opened ports 7171/7171 and 80/80. and on the Xampp control panel MySql comes up with a error when i try run it..
its says:
ERROR: MySql service not started -1

ideas why other people carnt log into my server.? thanks in advance...

To run a server with XAMPP, you need to open several ports: 7171, 80, 443 and 3306. If you dont have all these ports opened it wont work correctly. And I suggest you start xampp with the xampp_start.exe instead of the control.

I've reinstalled xamp now and both mysql/apache is running...
But after i install it. It says: Ports 80 and 443, 3306 already in use.
