Hey,

I just wanna cry and complain a little and ask your oppinion on Uh makers. What pros and what cons do you see?

I personally absolutely hate it, it takes your attention away from just playing one char and hunting.

They've become so common that now almost on every server you must have at least 2-3 clients open and have your PC turned on 24/7 if you don't want to fall behind too much. I understand it boosts server population for stats, sells more Pacc and some people make money that way, but for me personally it's just super annoying and could be easily solved in many different ways.

What do you think?

Pros:
  • more people on server
  • less people on exp places,
  • cheap uhs if you want to buy,
  • easier to buy uhs
  • on ots without trainers i could make a monk and train in peace with other character

Cons:
  • i am too lazy to set up a bot, so i wouldn't, which will put me in disadvantage
  • cheap uhs if you want to sell,
  • even if more people are playing they wouldn't be seen in depo or other frequently visited places because they will hide from pkers. On ots with the same number of players, where characters are regularly banned you can actually see more people,

1. people got used to it
2. you can pk uhmakers
3. be angry if they pkd you on script farming it
4. kill the one who killed your uhmakers
5. war emerges
6. we live in a society
7. profit of wars on pvp servers as an owner because your server is alive

Probably better for the economy. There aren't people anymore who stay making runes all day with low level characters as they used to decades ago. So you either let people MC with rune-making alts or there will be no runes in the market (depending on the version as before 7.4 they couldn't be bought on markets).

Also it changes balance a bit. Mages who rely on GFB/HMM/SD benefit the most from more rune availability. Knights who rely on UH benefit as well. Paladins rely the least on runes so they fall a bit behind.

I'd say that allowing 1 MC character is fine. Any other than that, and you're just encouraging people to fuck up the rune market.
