Hi!
Just a quick question, is there more attractive to have a OT with teleport system to monsters

Or does people still like a huge map and explore new hunting/quests?
 
Boats are a teleport system.
Imo ideal is a good mix of exploation and avoiding unecessary walkings. (waypoint system is many other games works good like this)
 
It is possible to combine both, allowing players the option to teleport to commonly hunted areas while still having large areas of the map to explore for quests and rare monsters.
 
I've always preferred boats with a waypoint system. That way if a player has ventured far out, they can unlock a teleporter back and forth to town.
 
Diablo'style i think is great. Explore to find new areas, in the area, find the waypoint. Just make sure that all waypoints look the same so players arent afraid of going in the portal to unlock it. Idk, maybe 3 by 3 grid is too small. Maybe make it a 5 by 5?
 
You: teleport to respawns yes or no
Meanwhile anime OTS: teleports to respawns, teleports to choosen location, teleports to NPCs, teleports to other players like GM :D
 
1 hour walk from start city to next city and 40+ because non stop orc raid at the gate, hunters everywhere on the fields and behemoths running in the passage

2 weeks for travel around the world and lvl 70+ recommended because yetis djinn war etc
 
just make a server where players are allowed to use a teleport scroll with a right-click function. See what happens
 
It really depends on the player base you're targeting. Some players love the convenience of a teleport system to quickly access hunting areas, while others enjoy the thrill of exploration and discovering new quests on a large map. A good balance could be having a teleport system for key areas while still rewarding exploration with hidden spots and unique content.
