i want host my otserver properly with website etc in ubuntu cloud ram, could be possible?

i been seeing that there are differents types of vps
dedicated, VPS cloud ssd, vps cloud ram, between others
i want to host my otserever properly with website (i use xampp)
could be this possible in vps cloud ram? with website etc
or a good way to do it?
someone can guide me?

I would switch to uniserver not xampp. Then, you can get any vps that can have ubuntu installed on it.

Then follow this:

SIMPLE ALL IN ONE: From nothing to a fully working dedicated server on Ubuntu

If you want to make your life easier run this command on ubuntu to install ubuntu desktop

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop

It's not recommended but, after you follow the "SIMPLE ALL IN ONE" tutorial. You will have a new user login named "otsmanager" I would follow this and make it a sudo account.

You should go for Hoster - OTS Hosting Service (Any TFS/OTServ) DDoS Protection or other OTServer oriented hosting as it look like you have no experience at all with hosting otservers in linux, finding a good VPS company may be hard and you might end up wasting your money on cheap vps that can't even run your server.

thanks mate- i know about don daniello service but im not a Rockefeller
also i had use some vps linux is the past installed numerous things there
so it shouldn't be so ass kicking to me

also which one i need?
CLOUD VPS OR SDD? WHAT THE DIFFERENCE THEY ARE THE SAME?

I used the SSD...I didn't have any problems. Although I only had around 20 people testing the server. None of them complained of lag and they were from all over the world. For the price it is good and you can use it until you can afford a better one. I think these servers are good for 300 players or so and thats the cheap ones.

• 50 GB <<<<<< does this matters in relation with people conected to the server and lag? i mean if i get more gb less lag ?

50GB means that's the maximum amount of information that can be processed on all connections.

Lets say each player is sending you 5mb of info...

That means around 1000 players could be sending you info at once....

However, that doesn't mean the VPS will be able to handle that, its just saying it has that limit.

Normally a player would send you at max... a couple hundred kb's of info? Im not sure but I know its low.

Storage capacity (in GB) affects how much data you can store, not how fast your server processes requests. But there are some cases where storage speed and usage can impact lag.
