Scripts that could lag OT

Hello people, I was wondering if some scripts actually can lag/freeze the server, for example in my project I created an rail system, actualy there are no boats only rails, so all players will travel with this.... but, will this lag my otserver?
my computer have nice specs but my net has only 5 mb upload ;(

If it lags, will be something perceptible? or not?

rail system wont lagg, only a big and much used animated spells i guess. But i think the 5mb upload isn't enough.

well, the upload is of my internet, so it doesnt matters, because i will host later on an semi or dedicated server...
