You need to edit this function:

I think you need to change this:
[cpp] case SLOT_RING:
if(item->getSlotPosition() & SLOTP_RING)
ret = RET_NOERROR;
break;

to:
[cpp] case SLOT_RING:
if(item->getSlotPosition() & SLOTP_BACKPACK)
ret = RET_NOERROR;
